Avilinga wins Gulf Air re-tender

Avilinga wins extended Etihad Airways contract

Avilinga is pleased to announce a successful bid for an extended multi-year translation services contract with Etihad Airways and affiliates.

Overcoming strong competition from several globally dominant LSPs during the tender process, Avilinga is proud to have been able to clearly demonstrate the benefits of our service delivery to the Etihad Airways panel in winning the bid.

The new contract extends Avilinga's service delivery into all areas of Etihad's business, and allows provision of service to Etihad's network of affiliates, including Air Seychelles, Virgin Australia, Aer Lingus, Air Berlin, JAT (Air Serbia), Jet Airways and Global Loyalty Company LLC.

Avilinga participates in Etihad's "Big Switch"

Avilinga is proud to have participated as the chosen translation vendor in Etihad's "Big Switch" to the SabreSonic PSS. Avilinga was responsible for localization of Etihad's new web platforms and PSS content, and provided provided on-site multilingual support during the cutover period.

Etihad's "Big Switch", was the culmination of one of the biggest ever technology upgrades in the GCC region, and the biggest in Etihad's 10 years in business. In a 10-year deal worth more than US$1 billion, the airline switched from its existing Amadeus passenger services system to a new IT platform provided by Sabre.

Avilinga releases Version 2.0 of Babilu Portal

Avilinga to lead Etihad Airways EPiServer migration

Abu Dhabi, July 25th 2012

Avilinga will carry out Etihad Airways' multilingual content migration from Microsoft SharePoint to EPiServer, helping to streamline the airline's Web operations worldwide.

The migration will involve online content in nine different languages, a reflection of Etihad's ongoing emergence as an international leader in both passenger travel and cargo shipping.

Avilinga is also pleased to collaborate with United Kindgom-based LBi, an international advertising agency and fellow Etihad supplier. Avilinga will work specifically with LBi's Copenhagen office on this project, one of the company's several European locations.

Avilinga wins tender for Qatar Airways translation services

Qatar Airways has chosen Avilinga as its sole translation services provider. The three-year contract includes Qatar Airways and its network of affiliates.

Avilinga will provide translation services in 22 different languages for Qatar Airways and its websites, including QatarAirways.com. Avilinga will also execute a Teamsite Integration, ensuring seamless, consistent content for Qatar Airways customers.

Avilinga signs agreement with Gulf Air

Avilinga and Gulf Air today signed a MoU regarding the provision of a full range of translation and multilingual copy-writing services to the Middle Eastern airline. Avilinga will provide service in over 20 languages for all of Gulf Air's content. The service will also provide limited Babilu integration.

Gulf Air is the National Carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain and operates the largest flight network in the Middle East, flying to more than 40 international destinations.

Avilinga renews agreement with Etihad Airways

Avilinga today announced the renewal of its translation services agreement with Etihad Airways.

Avilinga was initially approached by Etihad Airways in 2007 to translate and implement www.etihad.com into German, French and Dutch. After these initial translations Avilinga launched Etihad's websites in Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Thai and fully implemented Language Direct's Babilu system. Avilinga covers all site elements and provides Etihad with a 24-hour maintenance service into all existing site languages.

Avilinga begins delivery to SriLankan Airlines
